Staging Increases Value in Every Market

In an ever changing and lately very volatile real estate market, staging is more important than ever.  It is such a useful tool to entice potential buyers through the photos and set your house apart from others in the same areas and price points.  Both of these benefits are key whether the market is booming or slow.  Let’s take a look at a scenario for each.

As we saw last year with little inventory and homes selling for record prices, some argued it was so easy to sell a home and very little effort was needed in preparing for listing.  On the contrary, with this type of market you have the ability to sell for even more by separating your house and offering more perceived value.

When we stage we showcase!  We focus on highlighting the space and positive features while drawing attention away from the negative points of the home. This helps create that additional perceived value and buyers will value your home at a higher price than others. Presenting the property in a way that highlights its full potential will always attract more buyers and more buyers means a higher sale price!

Inversely, a slower market provides more available inventory and choices for buyers.   Properties desperately need to be set apart in order to compete against each other and draw buyers in.  Very few people are able to visualize the potential of the space if it is vacant or if it is not laid out properly.  By using staging or having a professional stager come in and help arrange the property, it helps catch the eye of people in the market and separates it from all the other listings they are being exposed to.  Having more interest in your property vs others is how you sell in a more difficult market and staging is the key to doing just that.

It’s clear that in every type of market, home staging prior to listing is always a good idea! With buyers having such ease to browse houses in the digital era, it is important that your house is the one that makes them stop and message their agent.  First impressions are everything and are formulated immediately when a buyer clicks the listing on their computer and again when they enter the property for the first time.   Staging is the tool that does exactly that through strategic placement of furniture and decor and is your cheat code in every market to higher sale.

Good Luck!
